Cops tracking down man who stalked woman at Mont Kiara area


KUALA LUMPUR: The police are tracking down a man who allegedly followed a woman closely near Arcoris Mont Kiara here.

Brickfields OCPD Asst Comm Amihizam Abdul Shukor said the suspect is believed to have followed the victim until Kiara 163 along Jalan Kiara at about 11am on Monday (Jan 15).

"We received a report from the victim at 7.16pm on the same day. While she was being followed, the victim managed to record videos of the person following her," he said in a statement on Wednesday (Jan 17).

ACP Amihizam added that the victim uploaded two videos of the incidentwhich have since gone viral on social media.

"We are still in the midst of identifying and tracking down the suspect. We are investigating under Section 507A of the Penal Code," he added.

He also advised the public not to speculate on the case.

"We urge those with information to contact the Brickfields police at 03-22979222 or KL police at 03-21159999 or at the nearest police station," he said.
